Arshad Warsi TROLLED For Explaining Russia-Ukraine Crisis With Golmaal Meme, Netizens Call It 'Insensitive', 'Movie Ni Chal Rahi Udha'
Arshad Warsi deletes his tweet after receiving severe backlash for posting a meme to explain the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis
Actor Arshad Warsi has miffed a certain section of people for explaining the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis with his film 'Golmaal' meme. The actor is receiving massive flak on social media for posting a meme to explain the turmoil in both countries. Many netizens called him out saying this is not the right time to make memes when lives are at stake. In his meme, which has gone viral, Arshad compared to France, Germany, and the US' stance on the ongoing conflict. However, the actor has now deleted his tweet.
Taking to his Twitter account, Arshad shared a meme on the Russia-Ukraine crisis and wrote, “Self-explanatory… Golmaal was way ahead of its time.” He reportedly labelled America, Russia, Ukraine, and rebel-held portions of Ukraine in a video featuring him, Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, and Rimi Sen. The meme featured a funny scene from his blockbuster Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. Soon after he dropped the meme, netizens started trolling the actor calling him 'insensitive.’
One user tweeted, “this is not right time to do this sir...war is a very dangerous situation...we should not make fun of.” Another said, “I get the comedy... the references but again this is no drill.. this is real time. There's a war going on somewhere out there.” A third user reacted, “As much as I respect you as an artist, trying to make fun of a war situation is a little insensitive to my taste, sir.” One of the users said, “Ukrainian people deserve empathy… Bollywood ki movie ni chal rahi udhar.”

I respect everyone's right to say what they want, so I'm gonna say this: You shouldn't treat this as an opportunity to gloat on your movie. It's abhorrent, and quite honestly, distasteful.

Amidst the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis, several B-Town celebs have expressed their concern about the current situation. While Gauahar Khan said strong action must be taken against ‘bigotry’ and ‘injustice’, Sonu Sood urged Indian Embassy in Ukraine to help evacuate students and families stuck there.
The Dabangg actor tweeted, “There are 18000 Indian students and many families who are struck in Ukraine, I am sure Government must be trying their best to get them back. I urge Indian Embassy to find an alternate route for their evacuation. Praying for their safety. #IndiansInUkraine.” For the unversed, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, unleashing airstrikes and sending troops deep into the country.
